Indian Embassy, Dubai Travel Back To India Under Covid-19 Situation Registration Started Online

The Indian Government has decided to bring back its citizens stranded in Dubai and other Gulf countries. The Indian Embassy in Dubai has decided to maintain a list of Indian citizens, who would be deported back to India. This is being done to protect them from the ongoing crisis of coronavirus.

The Indian Embassy, Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India have joined hands for this initiative. In this article, we will take a look at all the important details of this noble initiative by the Indian government.

The pandemic has created chaos in the whole world, resulting in deaths and migration of people. Our many brothers and sisters are also stuck in different countries of the world. There are a large number of Indians, who migrate to Dubai for work purposes. But now, they wish to return to their motherland post the outbreak of the pandemic. In order to help them, the Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India, Dubai have joined hands. In the latest press release, they have announced a scheme for evacuating those citizens.

The people who wish to return can simply register themselves under this special initiative to travel back. The Embassy authorities will collect all the data from the people. Post this they will plan accordingly on how the evacuation has to be done. Once all of this is over the people will be allotted different dates and will be dropped safely back to the country.

Registration steps for CGI Dubai form

The press release by the Indian Embassy has mentioned that the process will be completed online. They have also released a set of rules, that the people have to follow while registering themselves. We will now look at the registration steps of the database form:

  • Visit the official website mention above or click here.
  • Click on the flash link of “Registration of Indian citizens to travel back to India”.
  • Post this, the registration form will open up.
  • Fill all the important details viz Name, Passport number, Profession, a reason to travel back etc carefully.
  • Once done, submit all the details in the portal.

If the authorities find the reason for traveling back genuine, they will arrange for the travel. But mere submission of the form does not mean that everybody will be flying home back.

Documents required for registration

The circular says that people who work or stay in Dubai or other parts of UAE will be given the benefit. The authorities will send all the details of the evacuation process. Scroll down to read the details of all the important documents:
