Independence Day Speech for Children

Good Morning everyone presents here, I____from class____Studying in (School name), I am here to give a speech on Independence day. We all are here for this special occasion. It is a proud moment for all the Indians. As we got independence from British rule.

On this day, the Prime Minister Of India hoists our national flag at the Red Fort, New Delhi. Every year, Where the national anthem is sung after the hoisting. Also, a salute through 21 Guns firing with the national anthem, showering of flowers through helicopter is given to the national flag. All the forces take part in parades and then we pay respect to all the great leaders who fought bravely for India’s independence in the past. 

This year India will celebrate its 75th year of independence on the 15th of August, just like every year, It is celebrated on 15th August because India got freedom on the night of the 14th of August in 1947.

However, this year, just like the last year, there will no grand celebrations or social gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many people are still struggling to cope with it in the world and India too. We should not forget our brave healthcare workers, and police personnel who are fighting with this unseen enemy for the past 19months. Hence, this Independence Day we should pledge to protect ourselves and our country from this deadly virus and make India Covid-19 free like it was freed from the colonial rule back in the year 1947.

How India Got Freedom

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of India. He had given a speech on Independence day in New Delhi, just after India got freedom. While the people of the whole world were sleeping. But the people in India were struggling and were training to get freedom and life from British rule.

So, now after the independence, India has become the largest democratic country in the world and the best example of unity in diversity.

In past years, our great Indian leaders had given sacrifices with the courage in the heart to give us a free and peaceful country by sacrificing their comfort of life.

Bhagat Singh, Khudi Ram Bose, and Chandra Sekhar Azad had lost their lives in their early ages just for fighting for their country. Netaji and Gandhiji were great Indian personalities who taught Indian’s a big lesson of non-violence.

Indian Is Our Motherland country and we are its citizens we should always be ready to save it from the bad people. it is our responsibility to lead our country ahead. We Should take an oath today of being highly responsible and well-educated citizens of tomorrow India. We should sincerely perform our duty and do work hard to get the goal and successful.

And last proudly say “Jai Hind” Jai Bharat” Vande Mataram.
