IGCAR (Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic Researches) is a central government institute for atomic studies in India. It has many small sub- Branches in India, but its Head quarter is Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu. All of us know the importance of atomic energy in today’s world. Especially for India, where we took 70 years till independence to send electricity in every villages, it is a must alternative now a days. Atomic energy is also important for sustainable energy efficiency, which will not harm the environment. Atomic research is also beneficial from defensive strategic point of view of Indian military. To fulfill all this need of efficient sustainable energy and growth, the IGCAR (Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic Researches) works as a central mechanism.
