Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the “ PM Swamitva Yojana” on 24^th April 2020(today). Today is the day celebrated as a National Panchayati Raj Day. PM Swamitva scheme is launched for the betterment of the lands of rural areas. The PM  has addressed village panchayats across the country for the Integrated Property Validation Solution for a rural area in India.

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, he conducted a video conference with various participants. All the sarpanches joined the interaction from their homes, to maintain the norms of the lockdown. They also shared their point of view with the Prime Minister.

PM Swamitva Yojana

The Unified Portal can be termed as a new method of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj to develop & execute their Gram Panchayat Development Scheme through a single interface of Gram Panchayats. This PM Swamitva Yogana provides the benefit of integrated Property Validation Solutions for the rural area in India. Therefore the government has launched the PM Swamitva Yojana on the special occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day.

The implementation of Drones technology with the latest survey methods to demarcate the inhabited land in rural areas. It will get all the necessary help from various Departments such as the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, State Panchayati Raj Department, Survey Department, and the State Revenue Department.

Benefits of PM Swamitva Yojana

Every year, to celebrate this occasion the Ministry of Panchayati Raj recognizes the good work of panchayats for improving the delivery of services and public goods and awards them for the best-performing panchayats, states, and Union Territories.  This year PM Modi has launched a new PM Swamitva Yojana for the betterment of rural India. Due to the outbreak of  COVID-19, awards under only three categories can only be finalized.

Nanaji Deshmukh Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Puraskar (NDRGGSP), Child-friendly Gram Panchayat Award (CFGPA), and Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) Award have been finalized and will be soon shared with the States/ UT. Every year awards are given under five categories, but due to the lockdown, the process has been delayed. Therefore the remaining awards under two categories will be shortly finalized and shared to States.
