BPSC Cut off 2019: Bihar Public Service Commission releases the cutoff of Bihar PSC for all the candidates who have appeared for the prelims exam. The BPSC cutoff 2019 is the minimum qualifying marks that the candidates required to obtain in order to get shortlisted for the next process of selection – Mains exam and Interview. BPSC cutoff 2019 (official) is released after or along with the declaration of result.
BPSC recruitment for the 65th batch in Bihar is done in three phases – Prelims, Mains and Interview. BPSC prelims exam has been conducted on October 15, 2019. The expected cut off of the BPSC Prelims exam has been provided below on this page.
Though the official BPSC cut off 2019 will be released after the exam, meanwhile, candidates can check previous years’ cut off to get an idea about how much marks candidates need to score. Candidates who are succeeding in obtaining equal to or more than Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Civil Services cut off 2019 as per their categories in the mains examination will be selected for Personality Test further.
The exam conducting body will release the cut off of 65th BPSC Civil Services for the preliminary exam soon. The cutoff has been published along with the result of the prelims exam. The Commission has prepared the separate cut off for female candidates of each category. The qualifying cut off was announced by the examination authority along with the notification, which might be 40% for the general category while 36.5% for OBC. Besides the qualifying cutoff, candidates must also secure the overall cut off to be selected for subsequent exam stages.

Types of BPSC Civil Services Cutoff 2019
Qualifying cutoff – To qualify the 65th BPSC Civil Services Prelims exam, candidates need to secure the qualifying marks as prescribed by the exam conducting authority. Qualifying marks denote the minimum score that one should obtain to qualify the exam. Securing the qualifying marks in the preliminary exam does not guarantee that the candidates will be selected for the mains exam unless they score the overall qualifying marks.
Overall Cutoff – The overall cutoff is the minimum marks that are required to get selected in the main examination. It is calculated on the base of factors such as difficulty level, the number of vacancies and the number of candidates that appeared for the examination. The overall cutoff is determined out of the total marks of the examination.
The cutoff of BPSC Civil Services is applied for the following stages of the exam.
The preliminary examination of BPSC Civil Services contains questions from general studies. Total marks allotted for the exam is 150 marks. Candidates are required to score qualifying as well as overall BPSC Civil Services cutoff in the preliminary exam.
BPSC has not yet released the cut off of 65th BPSC CS prelims. The deciding factor for any exam is the cut off mark. The candidates must secure at least a minimum mark to get qualified in that particular examination. The cut off will be tentative for every year. It should be noted by the candidates that the cut off will vary among the reservation candidates and sometimes among the gender. The candidates who will appear for the examination can check the cut off mark in the official website after every examination. There is a concession for the grandchildren of the freedom fighters of Bihar.
The commission will fix the minimum qualifying Mark for the prelims exam which they will display on the official website. But the marks of the prelims exam will not be considered for the preparation of the merit list. It will serve all the candidates who are appearing for the exam as the entry ticket. For the main exam, the candidate must score a minimum of 30% in Hindi. But that is not cut off mark. The cut off for all the subjects will be displayed on the official website soon after every exam.
