The interested candidates are requested to keep a check on the University’s official website www.jaduniv.edu.in regularly. It is also advisable that the candidates go through the eligibility criteria before filling the online application form.

** Only candidates who are teaching in classes IX, X, XI, and XII are eligible for the Deputed category. The teachers from Secondary and Higher Secondary schools affiliated to the W.B.B.S.E/W.B.C.H.S.E. are required to produce a copy of the appointment letter from the District Inspector of Schools and a No Objection Certificate from the Managing Committee of the school duly countersigned by the District Inspector of Schools ( The Managing Committee must clearly clarify whether the teacher teaches in classes IX, X, XI, and XII), during the time of interview and admission. The University shall not take any responsibility of disbursement of deputation allowance.

**The candidates who have passed his/her last examination through a distance learning mode have to sit for a written qualifying test to be eligible for admission.

** All candidates should complete the Bachelors (Honours) level including all the generic papers.

** Selection of teachers under Deputed category will be based on a number of years of uninterrupted and approved service in any Government or Government aided institution. ( Calculated till the 18th of September, 2019).

Age Limit:

For fresher’s: 35years (Calculated as of 18th September 2019).

For Deputed: There is no age restriction as per previous year’s functioning.

Jadavpur University B.Ed. Admission  Selection Procedure:

For Secondary or any equivalent examination
(On the basis of the aggregate of all marks obtained )
% of marks x 0.1
For Higher Secondary or any equivalent examination% of  marks** x  0.2
**Obtained Marks will be calculated on the basis of:
1. W.B.C.H.S.E.: Best of 4 subjects excluding marks of Environmental Studies/Environmental Education (out of 400 marks)
2. Central Board of Secondary Education / Council for the Indian School Certificate / Other Boards: Best of 4 subjects (out of 400 marks)
For Honours Graduates
(On the basis of the aggregate of all marks obtained in Honours paper only)
% of marks x 0.3
For Post Graduate% of marks x 0.4

 

All the above-given data are just an assumption based on previous year’s processing.

As per circular Nos. BC-16014/1/82-SC dt.06/08/1984 & BCD-1, D.O.12017/11/89- SCD(R.CELL) dt.09/01/1990 and letter No.1510-SCW dt.31/05/2007 from the Government of West Bengal, Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes of any state other than West Bengal are not entitled to get the benefit of reserved quota in Educational Institutions in West Bengal. Such students may get the benefit of reserve quota if they have domicile certificate of 10 years residency in West Bengal.
